The figures are based on the shape of the container of one of the most popular probiotic drinks worldwide. Probiotic drinks are sold to aid the maintenance of gut flora, modulate the immune system, regulate of bowel habits and provide protection from gastrointestinal infections. Manufactures of probiotic drinks often develop and patent their own strain of friendly bacteria.
Each figure have a different latin name of bacteria and viruses that have been used in biological terrorism: bacillus anthracis (anthrax), variola major (smallpox), yersinia pestis (bubonic plague) and francisella tularensis (tularemia)
