Here We Go Again (2012) is a diptych consisting of a pencil drawing of one of the trading posts of the NYSE stock exchange often featured in films or news features as the symbol for the free economy and a printed list of things I currently want or need.
With this work I was interested in exploring the push and pull relationship between consumer and market, forming a slightly dysfunctional pairing where one partner is feeding the other with desirable propositions in form of endless supply of products going to great lengths not to lose its pulling power over the other, the consumer, in this work represented by myself.
